The Power to Go

Jesus Empowers the Church to Make Disciples

Matthew 28:18–20

Genesis 1 and 2 tell the beautiful story of God creating all things with the results being very good. Revelation 21 and 22 anticipates the coming day when Christ will make all things new. However, we live in the chaos between Genesis 3 where sin enters the world and Revelation 20 where Satan is bound, and the results are not good at all. What are we to do?

Scripture reminds us that all things have been given to Christ and are in His control. Therefore, it is unsurprising that at the end of Jesus’ earthly ministry He underscores His power and authority for a very explicit purpose: to change the world by making disciples.
